Light shone through your curtains and onto your face. You stirred in your sleep. Slowly you opened your eyes to see a face. It was Jamie you were currently staying around his for a month or 2 because your mum and dad were in Africa recording wildlife. You would have gone too but they said it would be too dangers and you were too young. He had a massive grin on his face so you knew that he was up to something.”Hey _____ wake up its Easter there’s an Easter egg hunt at the park so get ready hurry”. He scrambles off the bed and runs out the door while you’re still gapping at where he was sitting before. When you had gotten up and dressed you headed down stairs for breakfast. After you had eaten your breakfast you went into the front room to see Jamie sitting on the coach staring out of the window. “Hey Jamie you ready” you say putting your shoe’s and coat on. He turned and said “yeh I’m ready let’s go”. When you got to the park there was a big starting line and kids were lining up behind it baskets in their hands. When you and Jamie were behind it a man with a blow horn came and stood next to the starting line. “Ready,set,GO”  shouted the man as he pressed the button on the blow horn “hoooooooooor” and you both set off rearing and ready to find those chocolaty goodies. So far you hadn’t found any, well you had it’s just kids would take them before you had the chance to pick them up. You were about to give up when you spotted a place you hadn’t looked. It was a big rock with moss and flowers growing on it. You looked around to see if anyone was going to follow you. You slowly crept towards the rock. Quickly you looked behind the rock and to your surprise a beautiful egg was lying on the ground. This is it you thought you may only have one but you'd rather have one than none. You were about to pick it up when a girl with blond hair tied up in a pony tail with a purple dress snatched it from your grasp. “Hey” you said as the girl was about to walk away. “What don’t be a sore loser just because you didn’t get any, I got the egg before you so I got it fair and square”. Then she turned around and ran off to the finish line. Maybe there’s some more you said to yourself with high hopes. “Hoooooooor” your hopes then sunk, that was the horn to say the Easter egg hunt is over. You came out from around the rock and saw that girl that stole your egg. She looked at you and stuck out her tongue. Then she waved her basket in the air. “Why that selfish little brat” this made you jump out of your skin you turned around to see who the voice belonged to. No one was there. You then heard a russle from the bushes. You slowly crept up to them. You were about to look through them when something furry grabbed your arm and pulled you through the bush. As you were being pulled you close your eyes so no thorns would blind them. When the pulling stopped you slowly opened your eyes. There sitting beside you was a 6ft bunny. He was grey and white and had strange markings on his arms and head. He had something that went over his head and one arm and it had eggs attached to it. Also he had two wooden things strapped onto his arms and had bright green eyes. “Sorry from startling ya I just want to give ya something” he said calming you down with his Australian accent. Wait you thought. Is he omg he is! “Omg are you the Easter bunny, no you are the eater bunny, wow” you said in excitement which made him chuckle. “Yeh that’s me love and I saw how you didn’t get any eggs and how that little brat stole your egg, I’m sorry” he said quietly. “It’s not your fault, I’m just glad Jamie got some” you said haply which made bunny smile too. Something about you made him feel all warm inside. “Anyway you were saying” you said looking at him in wonder. “Oh yeh I was saying I have something for you. He turned around and then turned back to you. In his hand was the most beautiful set of Easter eggs you’d ever seen. “These...these are for me” you said your eyes sparkling with joy. He nodded and placed them in your basket. You looked up at bunny and said “thank you” and hugged him and he hugged you back. When you pulled away you couldn’t stop staring into his mesmerising green eyes. You felt all warm inside. Then he started to lean in and so were you. Wait I can’t kiss him he’s a bunny a cute, dreamy, muscular, kind bunny you said to yourself. The gap between you and bunny was growing smaller and smaller. You wanted to but you just weren’t ready. You quickly pulled away, got up and ran towards the starting line leaving bunny on his own. When you got to the starting line the man with the blow horn stood in front of the starting line. “Ok everyone count your eggs and then come and put how many eggs you have and what your name is on this clip board he says holding the clip board. So one by one each child put their names and how many eggs they had collected. You looked down at your basket. You started to count and were surprised when you had counted 12. You put your name and amount of eggs down on the clip board. “Ok everyone we have a winner” you looked over to the girl who was mean to you and she was smirking at you. “And the winner is...... ______”. Your eyes widened and a big smile shot across your face. You glanced at the mean girl. She looked like she was about to faint. You walked up to the man and he handed you the biggest egg you’d ever seen. It was way too big to be carried but lucky for you they were going to deliver it to your house. When all the excitement had died down you and Jamie went and sat on a bench and started to eat your eggs. As you were eating you felt something tug on your jumper. You looked down to see Jamie with puppy dog eyes looking right back at you. “Jamie why are you making puppy dog eyes” you said a little confused. “You haven’t gone and said thanks to bunny yet” he said sadly. “What do you mean” you say tilting your head. “He made you that massive egg you know”. And that’s when your heart fluttered. You stood up and ran towards the forest. “Bunny, bunny where are you” you shouted. “I’m here love what’s up”. You turned, just the sound of his voice sent tingles up your spine. Your heart was racing, you walked up to him and kissed him with passion. He was startled at first but slowly closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around you. You had never had feeling like this towards anyone before. When you pulled away you hugged him and said “thank for the massive egg it’s awesome but I’ll have to share it with Jamie or I’ll probably pass out” you giggled. He wrapped his furry arms around you and said “no problem and yeh I may have made it just a bit too big” he chuckled. This has been the best Easter hunt ever you thought to yourself.
